Installation and First Launch
Requirements

Get the installer
Installers are published only in a Telegram channel. This site does not host downloads.
Go to the update channel and pick the installer for your OS from the channel messages. Later versions are posted in the same channel.
:::caution This is the only channel An installer from anywhere else cannot be guaranteed to be an official build. Do not use it. If you run into problems downloading or installing, ask in the TGDirector community group. :::
First launch
There is no setup wizard. The app opens straight into the main window. Until it is activated, the window is covered by an Activation (激活验证) overlay that cannot be closed, so activate with a license key first.
The main window defaults to 1280×720 and has no system title bar: the red, yellow and green buttons sit in the brand area at the top left, and you drag the window by the blank strip along the top.
The left menu, top to bottom: Group Scripts (炒群剧本), Accounts (账号管理), Proxies (代理管理), Member Harvest (群成员采集), Bulk DM (私信群发), Support Desk (客服管理), Scheduled Broadcast (定时群发), Settings (系统配置). At the bottom are the license expiry date, the Dark mode (深色模式) switch, and "N / M accounts online" (N / M 账号在线).
Telegram API credentials are preconfigured (the Telegram Desktop identity), so there is nothing to fill in. To change them, see Settings · Telegram API.

:::caution Backup and migration
Deleting tdlib/<account ID>/ means that account has to log in again. Copying the whole directory to a new machine brings your accounts and data along, but a license key is bound to a device, so the new machine needs a separate key.
